Overview

Versivo AI ("Versivo", "we", "our") is a release communication platform and a product of TECNITY. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. The short version: we collect the minimum needed to turn your GitHub commits into release notes, we never read your source code, and we never sell your data.

What we collect

Account information. Your name, email address, and a hash of your password (we never store the password itself).

Workspace data. Your workspace name, URL slug, and any logo you upload.

GitHub commit metadata. When you connect GitHub, we use an official read-only GitHub App scoped to Contents and Metadata permissions. We sync commit messages, commit hashes, author names and emails, dates, and changed file paths — never the contents of your files. We cannot write to your repositories, and you can revoke access at any time from your GitHub settings.

Billing information. Payments are handled by Paddle, our Merchant of Record. Your card details are entered with and stored by Paddle — TECNITY never receives or stores your full payment details. We receive limited transaction data (such as plan, amount, country, and an order reference) to manage your subscription.

Usage analytics. We use privacy-respecting product analytics to understand how the product is used (pages viewed, features clicked). We do not sell or share analytics data with advertisers.

How we use it

Commit metadata is used for exactly one thing: generating the release notes you ask for. When you generate a note, the selected commit messages, author names, and version details are sent to our AI provider (OpenAI) to draft the note. Your source code is never sent anywhere because we never have it.

Your email address is used for signing in, account and billing notifications, and — if you use the email-sharing feature — as the reply context for release emails sent through our email provider (Resend).

Service providers

We rely on a small set of processors to run the service:

  • Amazon Web Services — hosting, database, and file storage
  • Paddle — payments, billing, and subscription management (Merchant of Record)
  • OpenAI — AI generation of release notes from commit metadata
  • Resend — transactional and release-sharing email
  • PostHog — product analytics

Cookies

We use a session cookie to keep you signed in and analytics cookies to measure product usage. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

Data retention & deletion

Your data is retained while your account is active. Disconnecting GitHub stops all syncing; deleting a repository connection removes its synced commit metadata. To delete your account and all associated data, contact us at support@versivoai.com and we will complete the deletion within 30 days.

Changes & contact

We will update this policy when our practices change and adjust the date above. Questions or data requests? Email support@versivoai.com, or reach TECNITY at info@tecnity.com.
